Dudley Lays it Down




On one of the hottest days ever recorded in E-dot, it seemed like half of the city still showed up Saturdayto rock out to the sweet sounds of Dudley Dawson. If you weren't there you were basically a nobody anyway. As usual they put on a raucus show and left their fans wanting more. What may have been the first circle pit formed for the opening act (The Ultimate Power Duo) and only intensified in numbers and ferocity as the headliner hit the stage. Through it all one maniac pushed to the forefront of the craziness. Chris Cooper was hands down the sweatiest dude in the building because of his non-stop movement in the sauna-like atmosphere. I was trying not to move too much as I might drown in my own perspiration. The pre-show and after- show parties were just as off the wall as everybody seemed to let it all hang out on quite the memorable soiree. If you weren't there you clearly missed out.
