NIRVANA REUNION!

So, word the street is Nirvana is re-forming (as much as a band with no singer/guitarist can re-form) with Ben Kweller at the helm. Wow, Ben Kweller, eh? What, that dude from the Vines wasn't available? Whether this happens or not remains to be seen but either way it will leave a little to be desired. I'm asssuming (bassist) Krist Novoselic needs some dough. I guess political activism and generally doing nothing deosn't pay as well as it used to. I'm sure Courtney Love will have a say in this, if she can climb out of the dumpster she's currently residing in.

Another rumoured reunion is the Police getting together at the grammy's and then extensively touring after that. They are reported to be rehearsing in Vancouver as we speak. Hey, anything would be a bonus compared to listening to most of Sting's solo shit (I do however secretly enjoy "fields of gold"). There's must be something in the water this year with all the reunions popping up including the aforetioned bands and Rage, the jesus and mary chain, crowded house, smashing pumpkins etc. etc.

In hockey news:

The Calgary Flames have picked up Craig Conroy again and that sound you hear is no one really caring. I'll give him this, he does have a hot wife.
Another hot ticket item is Darcy Tucker, with various teams (including the oil) in hot pursuit. I don't know about you but I'm guessing he won't solve our issues on the blueline. If Lowe deosn't make a signifigent move and get us some back-end help we are doomed and his job might be in jeopardy as well. Anymore talk about Matt Greene's potential and I'm going to throw up. If he hasn't realized that potential yet, it's not gonna happen. One more cough up and he should be run out of town.
Also... did you hear about Messier night at the Winspear w/ Paul Coffey, Glenn Anderson and the man himself, Mess. It'll only set you back $350. For me it's that or a flight to Palm Springs for Coachella. Hmmm, that's a tough one, Messier crying in his beer or some amazing live music in beautiful sunshine. I'm pretty sure I've made my choice.
Speaking of concerts whoever made the comment about the virgin festival in van-city has got to be kidding. It might be a little more expensive but Coach royally stomps on that lineup. I'm guessing even sasquatch will murder it. Don't waste your money.
