New Orleans - The Forgotten Problem

I know this issue has already been dragged through the mud but I need to add to it. With the news that the Louisiana Superdome will be opening in time for the football season being cheered there's a good chance people are already forgetting there's still a major problem in that city. Sure, it's good for the morale that sports will be played there but do the majority of its citizens ( who don't even live there anymore) really care. I'm sure they just want things to be back to normal in their lives. But that's unlikely with most of the people living below the poverty line who were forced out of the city. Here's hoping the main focus returns to rebuilding a great city which is still in shambles and all the other fun stuff (mardi gras, sports etc.) can come come later. Or maybe it's just me.
