The Oil have done it! Can you believe it? There might be a reason to call us the city of champions again what with the eskies winning last year and the amazing playoff run of the oil. Probably shoudn't get too far ahead of ourselves, though. There's still a lot of hockey to be played. They definitely couldn't have done it without guys like Smyth, Rollie and Horcoff.

Moving on, I forgot to review The Strokes show I saw on monday. That's probably because it was pretty forgettable. Not that it was bad, i just had a rough night in general. I couldn't get rid of two extra tickets I had and I missed the first twenty minutes. What I did see was good although some of us agreed, Julian's voice did tail off towards the end. I thought the sound was really good and they also had an amazing light show and backdrop. They were a little more personable than I thought they would be, too. Julian did say the usual "you guys are amazing" and the equally cliched "I'm gonna tell everybody about Edmonton" as if we live on the moon or something. I think most people from the U.S. really are that ignorant, so it does not surprise me. I have to say I would have had a better time if the circumstances were better. As of now, no complaints (Sasquatch is almost a week away!!! Yeah!!!).
